One of the Aides to the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Daniel Bwala, has given a hint on the reasons why he may defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress and declare support for the administration of President Tinubu.
Bwala gave the hint while answering questions from reporters on Wednesday, after a closed-door meeting with President Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.
While answering questions on whether he was contemplating joining the ruling party, Bwala said amd I QUOTE “APC is a party. President Bola Tinubu is my motivation; if supporting him will take me to APC, so be it. END QUOTE
You will recall that the PDP Chieftain had on January 2, 2024, said opposition political parties must form a strong coalition if they would successfully wrestle power from the APC in the 2027 general elections.
He therefore commended the President, over his decision to suspend the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu, saying it was impressive.
He further claimed that the President assured him that more cost-cutting measures are underway to reduce the cost of governance in the country
